Cladag Ring History
Cladag was a small fishing village in Ireland. The story says that an Irish fisherman named Robert Joyce lived in this village over 300 years ago. This Irish fisherman had his boat attacked by pirates and he was sold as a slave to a wealthy goldsmith. Robert learnt jewelry making while working for his master. It was then that he made the first cladag ring for his beloved. Sometime later Robert Joyce was released from slavery and returned to his beloved in Cladag. The Cladag ring that he made during his tenure as a slave was presented to her. The couple were soon married and lived happily ever after. This is the most believed story that traces the history of the Irish Cladag ring.

While gold or rhodium plating can be provided for silver jewelry at no additional charge, please remember that all plating will wear off with time.
